Every March, the National Women’s History Project employs a unifying theme and honors women around the country whose work and lives testify to that theme. For 2014, the theme is “Celebrating Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment.” In celebration of Women’s History Month, Omaha Public Library (OPL) will offer a series of free programs that celebrate the impact and accomplishments of women today and throughout history.
While writers can follow many different paths to get their works published, the bigger challenge can be getting those works to stand out among the competition. Omaha Public Library will offer an opportunity for local authors and publishers to tout their accomplishments at its Author Fair on Saturday, Feb. 22, 1-4 p.m. at W. Dale Clark Main Library, 215 S. 15th St., 4th floor. The event is free and open to the public.
